Shoe Components & Care

Our shoes feature leather uppers. The soles are custom-molded and made of flexible, lightweight polyurethane that has a density that is resistant yet not quite as hard as wood or plastic. The soles also don't wear down!

Many of our styles also feature trademarked shock-absorbing, perforated green cushions in the insoles (underneath the footliners) which supports the three main pressure points -- inside ball, outside ball, and heel. Because of the perforated cushion material in the insoles, the leather footliners are not adhered completely down onto the insoles as the perforated material may be easily damaged should the liners be removed for any reason (to insert your own orthotics or to change the liner).

Shoe Care

For nubuck or suede:

To remove dust, take either a dry towel or a shoe brush and lightly brush off the dust. To clean or remove a specific mark or area, use a rubber eraser to gently remove dirt or smudges, then brush the area lightly with a shoe brush. There are also sprays you can purchase to protect nubuck or suede against rain as well as stains. We recommend this spray.

For leather:

For scuff marks or smudges, use a moist wipe to remove them. If needed, we recommend this leather cleaner. Use as directed.
